Is Cooking in the Microwave Causes Food to Lose Nutrients?

Microwaved food may retain vitamins better than stovetop-cooked food. And that is because the microwave zaps it quickly and without much water. One study found that spinach retained only 77% of its folate when cooked on a stove, but retained all if its folate when cooked in microwave. Consumer Report Health

  2. I guess microwave doesn't lose the nutrients of the food, in fact it's better than boiling it in water,saves time and electricity,too!
