FTF: Pork Sinigang

One of my son's favorite Filipino dish, Pork Sinigang. He particularly loves the Okra, Eggplant, Taro and Radish. Since we ran out of Taro, I put potato instead. It turned out to be good, too!

My share for FTF this week. :-)!

The Aftermath of Flooding

Residents of Maryland are not letting their guards down after the past week’s flooding. I heard from the news that they are exhausting all means possible to become prepared since they are expecting more flooding incidents. Even businesses are working on some precautionary measures against flooding. I used to live in a country where flooding is a year-round problem and I know the extent of its damage to lives, properties and livelihood so I can understand why these people are tight on their guard.

I bet some of the residents are scratching their heads and wondering how in the world they can start cleaning up the mess left by the floods. I have a friend who lives in Austin who once needed help after a small fire broke out in her apartment. All she did was type the words fire water damage restoration Austin and she was able to find the right company to help her clean up the mess.

I’m not sure if they have anything like a water extraction service provider in Maryland that these people can call for help. Of course, after the flood water has been extracted, you can expect to see messy and soggy carpets. These are likewise end results of flooding and a company that offers carpet cleaning services is needed. There should be a company in Maryland that closely resembles the services that rug carpet cleaning Austin offers. If you are a resident of Austin and have water problem or anything for that matter, you should visit: http://www.thesteamteam.com and get some help from the experts.

This was our dinner three days ago; hubby requested that we have fish for dinner for he is on diet. I just prepared it by frying it and with mango salsa on top of it. It was yummy; even our little one gobbled it like he had never eaten in days, lol!

Figuring Out the Green Logistics for My Home Office

Guest post written by Anna Parker

Sometimes I love working out of my home office and sometimes I really miss working from a regular office with other people around. It can get a little lonely, which can sometimes mean that I'm more efficient with my time though because there aren't other people to distract me. But with distracting coworkers come people that notice what you're doing and somewhat hold you accountable for what they see you doing at your desk. I'm not too worried about that now. Right now I'm worried about finding ways to make my home office green since obviously no one else is going to do that for me.

I went online to try and figure out the logistics for that and while I was online I found the website www.Texaselectricityproviders.com. After that I decided to sign up for one of the energy savings plans that I found on that site, which would help my home and home office be a little more green.

I'm also just going to start some better habits about energy use in my home office, like turning on electronics only when I need them. I'm so bad about leaving stuff turned up and plugged up all the time, which I know wastes money and energy.

Tracing back our theft's thieves might take some time. Link back to us at Sunday Stealing!

Business Cards, An Indispensable Marketing Tool

For a businessman, it is important for him to have a business card. A business card is the most inexpensive, yet the most indispensable marketing tool. It is a way of introducing oneself, especially for those with business positions, to clients and potential customers and buyers. It’s also a way of promoting one’s brand or business. The exchange of business cards is one of the most effective ways to break the ice in new business relationships or partnerships.

So a businessman or any individual should find a quality business card printing business card printing company where all the important details must be integrated into the small card. Both the individual and the printer should bear in mind that the business card should also make the very first impression last. The business card should contain the business name, the numbers to contact including mobile phones and emails, the website since most of the companies and businesses today are virtually present and an effective and descriptive catchphrase can be placed on the card. The businessman can always ask the printer to have all these present in that small yet powerful tool. Even at the modern information age, still the business card remains one of the most useful and strategic marketing medium.

Why is Software Testing Tool Important?

Every day all around the world, thousands of computer software is being released to the public, to private organizations, to governments sectors and branches. Software makes life easier for anybody who might have a need for it. If you have a computer or a laptop then you probably know how vital software is to make your computer run and function well. It goes without saying, though, that software may not always run well. When that happens, software developers can chalk it up as a loss for their company.

But that could be avoided with the use of Software Testing Tool which is primarily developed to check the correctness, completeness, security, and quality of developed computer software. Isn’t it that before products are distributed to suppliers and retailers, they go through a strict process of quality control or quality checking? That is to ensure that a product is safe for use or consumption. If the testing yields negative results, the products, in most cases the whole batch produced, are thrown away and labeled wastes.

In the same way, software is tested to ensure that it would function well. If software developers are able to detect early on that the software is functioning poorly, they can make necessary adjustments. Thus, software testing likewise makes software development, execution and maintenance more effective and cost-efficient.

FTF: Black Eye Peas with Sausage and Okra

This dish is one of our family's favorite. I made it my own version. I have put sausage instead of ham hock. This dish is normally served on New Year here in United States for 'good luck' and so we always have it every new year. But yesterday I crave for it, so I made some. Jacob loves it especially the okra.

Aside from this dish, we also have had fried tilapia with Pinoy salad (tomatoes, radish, green mango, green onin, patis for seasoning and also lime. Hubby loves the salad!
