Lunch at Napoli's Italian Resto

Last week, we have been busy moving our stuffs up into our new place that we didn't have time to prepare meals. We ended eating out most of our meal except breakfast. During one of those days, we ate lunch for the second time at our fave Italian resto and these are what we ordered. Jake had his usual oreder, spaghetti and mealtballs which is very good while hubby and I shared minestrone soup, pizza and salad with house dressing on the side.

I apologize for making you drool again :-)

Moreys' Piers's Ghost Ship

Summer time is really bad here in Texas. It is so hot. We always get three digits temperature! Enjoying outdoors is impossible without getting sun burned no matter how much sunscreen you put into your body. It would be nice if we can so go somewhere this summer where we can all enjoy it; I would like to go visit the Ghost Ship at Morey's Piers in Wildwoods, New Jersey. Their newly launched attraction which is the Ghost Ship is a great addition to the classic amusement park. I would like to experience the scream of a teenager once again when I see creepy things :-). Oh boy, this would be very fun and adventurous to us. I wonder if I can convince my hubby to join me :-). He hates scary stuffs though.

I Love Log Beds

I always want to someday live in a cabin log. I don't know why I am fascinated with it especially how it looks. While looking at the website, the rustic beds look very nice, the only thing I don't like about it is just it is so big, it will never fit in our bedroom now, maybe when I have a bigger house this will look good in there :-). If you are interested on log beds, you should click the link provided.

I Badly Need GPS

Part of the thing I don't like about moving is trying to familiarize myself with the roads and where they will lead me to. I hate driving where I can easily be lost...and nobody can tell me which way to go. Now, that we are settled, one thing I need to do is go to mapquest for direction since I don't have gps yet I can rely on. I would like to get one, but hubby wouldn't let me. He said it is expensive and sometimes not accurate. I asked him why he said that, he had not even tried it before. His response was: some guys at work told him so. Oh well, you can't really rely on what one or two people said about it, you've got to try it for yourself especially that he hates to ask for direction when we are lost, anyway. What I really like about this particular gps is that you can even apply it on your mobile phone, thus making it easier to drive confidently. Hubby needs to do some research himself about gps before he finally shuts his door on it. One of these days, I would get it whether he likes it or not!

Shop for Car Accessories

Driving back and forth the apartment and the new house for the past couple of weeks made me realized how some people love their cars enough to put nice looking and expensive accessories, not to mention that their cars are already expensive. These people must have a lot of money to afford these luxury. I am not pessimist but being practical and frugal as well; I would spent huge amount of money for the vehicle which we know would depreciate fast. If it is a piece of land or a property, then I wouldn't mind splurging. Anyway, despite me being frugal, hubby is an opposite of me. He buys things especially electronic gadgets, tools and car accessories, that is why I sometimes nag him for doing that.

For those who want to accessorize their vehicle, you should check this website called realtruck.com for they have huge selection of accessories. Whatever the make and model of you truck or any vehicle yo have, the have it for you, guys. They everything from trailer hitches to ball mounts. Shop for products such as receiver hitch, hitch step, hitch ball, 5th wheel hitch, gooseneck hitch, receiver hitch, front mount hitch, tie down straps, truck bed tie downs, hitch carriers, loading ramps, tow straps, brake controllers and trailer accessories.

Food Trip Friday: Green Salad with Chick Peas

We fell in love with this salad after we tried their sample at Costco two weeks ago. And so, I bought the four ingredients right away because my son kept telling us how much he likes it. If you want to try this, the first two ingredients can be purchased at Costco.

I added grape tomato to make it colorful and more appetizing :-); for more sumptous foods, visit Willa's Kitchen.

Accessorize Your Vehicle

A month before the expected move to our new house, hubby and I were trying to figure out how to transport our stuffs up without costing us much. We thought of putting hitches on our cars so we can do it ourselves without the help of movers. But later on, decided to leave to the movers which we sure glad did. Anyway, we are now home, but needed something like few furniture. Appliances where delivered and installed as well. Talking about appliances, when the guys from home improvement store came, they used loading ramp to load and unload the three heavy appliances and I can tell how hard their job must have been. I don't think hubby can carry them himself even with the use of his dolly and cart. By the way, if you are in need of any car accessories, realtruck.com is a website where you can find almost anything your car needs from 5th wheel hitch to ball mount, they have you covered. You will like their huge selection of towing products and accessories for you suv, car, or pick up truck. I need to tell this to hubby since he needs tie down straps.

Looking for Pick Up Accessories?

To those truck drivers out there, if you are looking for affordable yet quality made truck accessories, look no further for there is a website the carries such accessories. RealTruck.com has every accessories you can imagine from exterior to interior accessories, they've got you covered. Right now, they offer free shipping on all orders from $149 or over. I assure you that whatever the model and maker of you pick up truck is, you'll sure find the accessories you need. Since one of our biggest plan next year is to trade our old car to a truck, this site will be very handy when times come that hubby needs to replace pickup accessories for his dream truck. I know it would take time or at least six months before that plan materialized, but I am already excited for it.

FTF: Chicken Adobo

I love Chicken Adobo that I can eat it anytime I want to. Hubby on the other hand stopped eating it because he doesn't like the smell of it when I am cooking it. He said that it is too strong! I don't care what he think of it, but I still cook it no matter what :-)!

I have put some olives for garnishing which actually taste good when you eat it with. Anyway, for more sumptuous foods head on to Willas' Kitchen.

FriendGiftr, America's Favorite Gift Cards

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of FriendGiftr. All opinions are 100% mine.

There are many ways how we can express our feelings to our loved ones on any special occasions. We can give them a hug saying how much we love them, we can also do something very special for them like taking them on date in the park, take them to their favorite restaurant for dinner, and the list goes on and on. The most common is by sending greeting cards and gift cards. Talking about gift cards, FriendGiftr is a place where you can personalized a gift for family member or loved ones. It has the largest collection of top virtual and physical retail and restaurant cards that can be sold using internet and also has over 120 varieties of gift cards in all categories from restaurant, sporting good stores, bookstores to name a few. Their gift cards are sold from $10, $20, $25, $35, $50, $75, and $100. I love that they can also split the gift card across multiple merchants, enabling the ultimate user choice and control. FriendGiftr can also be accessed from their website, facebook, iphone, Blackberry and Android. This Father's Day, my hubby didn't want me to buy anything for him and that is fine with me. But my father in-law I am sure would really appreciate the gift card from Cabellas which is his favorite store for all his outdoor activity needs. Mine on the other hand is.........................>>>>>>>
because they they offer great deal on sale items, plus I save more from using my membership card every time I shop.

FTF: Saluyot

Finally, I have cooked the food I have been craving for a long time now, which is "Saluyot" or Jute in English. It's bee 8 years since I got here in the U.S. but only cooked it twice. Hubby didn't like it the first time, but am sure he'll like it just like my son who ate it last night for the first time. Anyway, It tasted good but even better I think had I put "Tinapa" or smoked Fish, or fried Tilapia or Bangus....but I couldn't find it at the Asian store. So here it is.

This is cooked with anchovy (bagoong), fish ( if you have it handy), long beans, eggplant, bamboo shoots, papaya, saluyot and of course tamarind or sinigang mix if you don't have fresh tamarind. Okay, this is how my mother cooks it and I just follow her way.

This dish is very much appreciated by Ilokanos and Tagalogs.

Shop At Sav - On Closeouts!

The other day we all went to see our new house that is being build in Heartland; we wanted to be there before they put carpet and install appliances. On the way, we saw these Chick Fill let crews on the side of the road giving away their new product called "Spicy Chicken" sandwich. Every car stopped and was given sandwiches including us. We got three of those yummy sandwiches and saved us from eating lunch out. Anyway, they have their mascot wearing a cow costume. My son wanted me to buy that costume for Halloween this year. I would love to get him one, but where in the world do I get that costume? Not sure where to get it, I just said to him that I'll try.

Thinking, now is the best time to look for that costume, so I decided to go online and search for a website that sells seasonal items. Thank goodness for sav-on closeout.com has it. Now I don't need to worry about costume for my son every year for Halloween costumes. What I like about the website is that they sell wholesales, closeouts, liquidations items for very low prices. And since 4th of July is fast approaching, I will be needing decorations to celebrate Independence day. My son is also celebrating his sixth birthday on July, might as well buy party decor, giveaways for his birthday.

The website is good for those who need bulk of seasonal items, novelties, wedding, graduation, Christmas, New Years, St. Patrick day, Easter, Halloween, 4th of July decorations and items for prices that are very low. My friend is into kind of business and I will definitely mention sav-on to her so she can save from buying wholesale items instead of by pieces. So, for all your seasonal, novelties, all occasions party need, sav-on is the place to be.

Walmart or Target?

I know some people like to shop at Walmart better than Target. But I for one like to shop at either one of them for different reasons. I go to Target if I want to buy inexpensive but, quality and nice looking clothes. I usually go there for my son's clothing for they always have sale/clearance sale, for chicken nuggets and tomato juice (Target brand). On the other hand, Walmart is better when it comes to produce because they are cheaper, and fresher. These corn on cob worth 19 cents each and it is very sweet. And if you like chocolate chip cookies, Walmart brand is the best! We go to Sprouts when it comes to meat and poultry, bread, and produce fresh from farms. Sprouts offers organic and natural foods as well. How about you? Which one you prefer, Target or Walmart?

Buying For Sale By Owner Homes, An Option Worth Considering

Buying a REPO Home is very popular nowadays because it is not only cheaper, but also brings you great profit in return when you fix it real well. We considered buying a bank owned house when we were looking for a house almost a year ago. Since we've renovated a house before, we thought that we would be able to do it again. But because of the distance between hubby's job and home, we opted to buying one that doesn't need fixing. I think, buying a repo house is an Affordable Housing Options for people who are is willing to do some work for a house that is not pricey at all.

Call Martino Home Improvements

Back in our old house, we did extensive renovation thinking that we would retire there, but due to economic meltdown few years ago. We decided to sell it and moved to VA where hubby got the job. We loved that old house. Part of the renovation we did was replaced the roof and so we called a roofing company and had them do the roof estimate. We were glad we asked for estimate before we finally used the company because some companies are better than others. They also do siding, windows, gutters, and insulation. They one are one of the best!

Video Production

About five months ago, my son and his class have the opportunity to be on television because their class won with the most worn spirit shirt. The whole class marched from their classroom to library. They sung after being interviewed by the school principal. The event was being televised and all the kids were excited! Anyway, talking about video, this event reminds me of my brother whose dream is to become part of a video production team where he could practice on that field and eventually start his own team. But due to unavoidable circumstances his dream didn't materialize. He still does video taping locally and is making a money to support his family's need.

Ikea's Cinnamon Roll

Here is one of my son's favorite junk food from IKEA :-); can't blame him because this is very yummy. Hubby and I couldn't resist it either. If you haven't try this one yet, you better try it now! You will like it as much as we do :-)! Their Swedish meatball is a big hit to my son, too!

By the way, I call this a junk food because the size itself is good for four person. Just one piece alone has more or less 600 calories! I might even wrong...just can't remember the exact calories this cinnamon roll has.

Best Rent To Own Homes In Your Neighborhood

Living in an apartment is not always easy and comfortable. You will experience inconveniences such as noisy neighbors, expensive utility bills, limited space and more. I am saying these based on our experienced. I really want to look for those Rent Houses available in the area where we wanted to live, but my husband didn't agree with me; and so we ended living in two bedroom apartment again. I think it is better to live on a rental house than in an apartment. Anyway, if you are looking for a rental house, go online where it is easy to navigate and user-friendly. Finding house for rent made it easier for those who don't have enough time to themselves. Some website also offer Rental Assistance to those who are in need of help.
