My Kitchen, My Haven, My Space

As a homemaker and the queen of the kitchen, I always make sure that I serve the best for my family. I make sure too that the kitchen, my haven, is a place where I can have experiment on different food ingredients and turn them into delicious and healthy dishes for the household. I am glad that I have a pantry always stocked with ingredients so that every time I want to create or cook something, I can easily whip up a dish in no time at all.

But somehow, I wish that I have Kitchen Cabinets West Palm Beach made. I have some cool and unique kitchen designs and ideas from a website that I once came across. I have wished that I can use the design and replace the one I have now. But I guess getting a new kitchen design or renovating my kitchen now is not the family’s priority. I still love the kitchen I have now. It is my personal space, a place where I can master and hone my skills in cooking and whipping up delicious food for the family. It is where I sometimes find solace, where I want to think things over or just simply marvel at the beauty of having a wonderful family and being able to live another day.

The kitchen is also a place where my family and I can share, talk and discuss the things that happened during the day. It is where we can discover the many hidden talents and abilities that we have. The kitchen gives out warmth and love, a place in the house where the tummy is not the only one filled but the spirit and soul as well, and no matter what kind of kitchen I have, as long as there is harmony and love, it will be one of the best places in the house.

Stay Fit, Sexy and Healthy Without Spending Too Much

Getting fit and healthy is everyone’s concern nowadays. Many men and women alike have become gym buffs just to achieve the bodies and figures they want. But for moms like us who have kids, the family and the house to take care of, going to the gym and getting a gym membership means extra expense and will definitely cost some of our savings.

For us to be able to save and stay fit and healthy at the same time, we can buy home gym equipment that offers and promises the same result as with working out in the gym. Discipline is the key. Exercising, eating the right amount of food and being watchful of our food intake will help us reach our goals. Not only that we get fitter bodies, but we become health conscious as well. If we keep track of our progress, we will for sure achieve our targets, a flatter tummy, cellulite-free thighs and buttocks and others.

But gym equipment can be very expensive and some of us might think twice before buying one. Thankfully there are equipment such at the flex ab belt which costs less and gives result that are comparable to going to the gym. You don’t have to do endure the painful crunches, jog for hours or do hundreds of sit-ups every day, with the flex ab belt, you get the result that you really want. Not only that, you can get this amazing thing at a discounted price. There is a flex belt coupon at their site that you can avail of and use to save up some money for other things. With the savings that you get, you can still buy a pair of jogging pants or an exercise top. That is just one good deal.

Aside from the Flex Ab Belt, you can also check out other home gym equipment like exercise bikes, pilates equipment, treadmills and other multi-gym workstations designed to fit in your room or a small space. If you want to improvise, you can make your own gym equipment. Gather up some big and empty milk or juice cans, if you have extra cement, you can place them inside these cans and insert them in a bar (resembling a weight). You can also use water bottles and fill it with sand or rocks. These may be cheap and simple but with discipline and proper use, you can still achieve what you want.

So who says getting sexy, fitter or achieving a flatter tummy or obtaining your dream six-pack is expensive? Think again. There are more than a hundred ways to stay fit and healthy without spending too much.

Street Food, Banana Q

One of the many Filipino snack I miss so much is banana cue. The banana is similar to a plantain only this is golden brown when it is ripe. It is cook wit brown sugar on a hot oil. Then, place it on a skewer. I you are lazy to make some, just buy it already made. It is sold in the streets that is why we call this a "street food".

It is very yummy and filing, too. Try it and you'll love it for sure!

One of our favorite place to visit in Dallas is the Dallas Zoo. So, we think that a visit to the San Antonio Zoo should be included on our plan when we go to San Antonio. We would like to see the 8,500 animals of 778 species. It would be amazing to see the interactive exhibits that includes the Africa live, Lory landing, butterflies, the real wild fun farm, to name a few.  A ride  on the San Antonio Zoo eagle, will never be forgotten. Oh, we couldn't wait! After all the fun and excitements, a relaxing stay at Crockett Hotel would be end our day!

No! Not a Cake for His Birthday

My son's eight birthday is fast approaching. In three weeks time he'll be celebrating his birthday and two days after that, he is going to get baptized in our church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). We are all excited for his baptism! This year, we decided to make his birthday celebration an only "family affair." We would just take him to his fave restaurant, give him a new bike (as gift), and take him to a waterpark (WetZone) in Rockwall. I am sure he would have a blast! For now, he still want to have a birthday party, will all his fave foods, friends, and of course....gifts from his friends. I feel sad for him, but we need to be frugal in order to save our money for some important things.

Anyway, talking back on his birthday, he doesn't want me to bake him a cake nor brownie. Instead, he wants me to make him a fruit cobbler! I don't mind fruit cobbler, for it s yummy and also healthy. Today, I made him a blueberry cobbler and oh boy! He gobbled it! He almost finished the whole plate! And while eating it, he couldn't stop saying 'how good it was!" So glad he saved some for Daddy's dessert tomorrow, lol.
