Working on a graveyard shift is one of my husband's most hated job schedule in his life. He has been working night shift now for three years and still hasn't gotten use to it. You can still hear him complains about it at least once a week. I kept saying that he needs to get use to it and stop complaining. He doesn't have any choice. He needs to be grateful, he has a job. As we know, a lot of people don't have job or couldn't find a job. I know not being able to sleep at night is bad for his health. Sleeping all day, is not good for him either. He wished that someone in the department where he works would switch schedule with him, but no luck. Nobody wants to work at night, period.
Anyway, during his shift, sometimes he gets hungry, and so he eats some snacks, but most of the time unhealthy snacks. That's one of the reasons why he gained a lot of weight. So, I told him to eat fruits and veggies for snacks instead of junk foods. He said that sometimes, he gets bored with those foods. too! I think he needs to alternate them with protein bar which is very popular with busy people like him. I hope he'll like the new Quaker Soft Baked Bar for it is very delicious. The banana nut bread flavor as well as the cinnamon pecan bread are loaded with fruits and nuts that can provide him the fuel he needs as he works on night shift. This eat on - the- go breakfast snack can be eaten as it is or warm it up for a real bakery experience. I don't really need to choose which one of the two flavors is my favorite, it is because I like both of them. I have baked banana nut bread as well as cinnamon pecan bread and both flavors are pretty good. So why don't you try both of them as well?
These soft baked bars are not only yummy, but also are packed with 5 g of fiber, 6g of protein, excellent source of 5 B - vitamins, and has 140 calories. A wholesome food for the whole family.
