A Truly Texan Gingerbread House

Guest post written by Heather Summers

I was born and raised in Texas and after college I just couldn't imagine living anywhere else besides Texas, so I stayed here. This year when I started thinking about what kind of gingerbread house I wanted to make for the holidays, I thought that I should make a gingerbread house that's innately Texan. One thing came to mind and I thought that The Alamo would be perfect.

Even though I basically know what it looks like, I went online to find pictures of it and figure out how to make a gingerbread version of it. When I was looking up that stuff, I found this Austin clear 4g online offer that sounded really good and I signed up for it for our home internet access.

I think that this may have been one of my best gingerbread house ideas ever because once I got it all put together, it looked so great! I think that my husband, whoos a huge history buff was also very impressed with my execution. Which I did try to make it as historically accurate as possible.
